Ambassador >> The Clear Ambassador® heads are medium-weight heads made with a single ply 10-mil Mylar® film to produce an open, bright, and resonant sound with plenty of attack. The Coated Ambassador® heads are medium-weight heads made with a coated single-ply 10-mil Mylar® film to produce a warm open, bright, and resonant sound with a warm attack. Coated Ambassador® heads are the standard of the industry for both live and recording situations.   Suitable for: Tom Snare Bass Available in: Clear Coated	Diplomat >> The Clear Diplomat® is Remo’s brightest, most open sounding head due to its single layer of 7.5-mil Mylar® film. They’re known for their bright tones, resonance, and sustain and as resonant (bottom) heads opening up the sound of tom-toms. The Coated Diplomat® is slightly warmer than the Clear Diplomat® due to a coated single layer of 7.5-mil Mylar® film. They’re known for their bright warm tones, resonance, and sustain. Emperor >> Coated Emperor® heads are warmer and more durable than Clear Emperor®s. They’re made with two free-floating plies of 7-mil Mylar® film, which gives consistent open warm tones which accounts for their popularity among Studio, Pop, R&B and Rock drummers.   Suitable for: Tom Snare Bass Available in: Coated	Pinstripe >> Clear Pinstripe® heads are made with two 7-mil Mylar® plies, and have quick decay, making them ideal heads for the “fat” sounds of Pop, Rock and R&B and for those who want a low pitched sound with moderate attack and response characteristics.   Suitable for: Tom Snare Bass Available in: Clear
Controlled Sound >> Clear Controlled Sound® drumheads have medium and heavy-duty drumhead characteristics. The outer area of the head’s playing surface offers mid-range tone and sensitivity while the laminated center “dot” adds durability and tonal focus. Coated Controlled Sound® drumheads have medium and heavy-duty drumhead characteristics. Ever since we led the industry in the 1960’s to standardize drumhead sizes, we’ve been in the forefront when it comes to crafting, designing and manufacturing drumheads. You may even notice that our competitors often feature our heads as the benchmark by which they manufacture their products. We’re flattered. And because of our technologically advanced R&D on new adhesives, coatings, films and textures, we’ll continue to upgrade our drumheads at a blistering pace. For example, one recent drumhead improvement we made had over 175 film variations before the final upgrade was agreed on. Why? Because we just can’t leave well enough alone, that’s why.
